Southampton in ‘advanced contacts’ with Holland U21 international – Face European…

first_imgJames Ward-Prowse deputised there a few times, but it certainly wasn’t a long-term solution, and there is a need to find someone to fill that role.According to Eurosport’s Manu Lonjon, Ralph Hasenhüttl and his scouts have turned their attention to the Eredivisie, with FC Groningen’s Deyovaisio Zeefuik on their radar. In fact, it’s a bit more than that, as the French journalist claims both Reims and Southampton are in ‘advanced contacts’ with the player regarding what would most likely be a summer transfer. They aren’t the only ones interested, however, as PSV Eindhoven are also said to be ‘attentive’ to the 22-year-old’s situation.Having joined Groningen from Ajax back in 2018, Zeefuik has six Holland U21 caps to his name and was a regular member of Danny Buijs’ first-team, starting every single game in the Eredivisie during the still ongoing 2019-20 campaign. Sending Cédric Soares on loan to Arsenal and bringing Kyle Walker-Peters in on a temporary deal for the second half of the season, Southampton are trying to find the right man to compete with Yan Valery for a right-back spot. by Taboolaby TaboolaSponsored LinksSponsored LinksPromoted LinksPromoted LinksTrending TodayForge of Empires – Free Online GameBuild a City, Trade With Your Neighbors, Play With Your FriendsForge of Empires – Free Online GameUndo聽多多 Hearmore.asia1969年前出生的香港居民現可免費試戴頂尖的歐洲助聽器聽多多 Hearmore.asiaUndoHero WarsGetting this Treasure is impossible! Steelers face Chiefs in Super Bowl quest

first_imgSTEELERS CELEBRATE VICTORY OVER MIAMI DOLPHINSThe Steelers repaid the Miami Dolphins for their 30-15 victory over them with a 30-12 win Sunday, setting the stage for the AFC semi-finals with the AFC West champions the Kansas City Chiefs (12-4) this Sunday at 1 p.m. in Kansas City. The Steelers jumped all over the Dolphins in the first quarter with three quick scores building up a 20-6 lead to cruise on to a final 30-12 victory in pretty much what everyone expected. In his first playoff game Le’Veon Bell set a Steelers playoff record with 167 yards on 29 carries and 2 touchdowns. But it was Antonio Brown who closed the door early on the Dolphins with touchdown catches of 50 and 62 yards to put the Steelers out front and they never looked back.Once again the Steelers defense was awesome shutting down the running game that had allowed 204 yards by Jay Ajayi rushing the first meeting and held him to just 33 yards on 16 carries.James Harrison continues to look like a 26 year old instead of a 36 year old veteran as he led the defense with 12 tackles and 2 sacks. Lawrence Timmons kept pressure on the quarterback all game long while stopping the running game with 14 tackles. But they had plenty of help Ryan Shazier, Javon Hargrove, and Stephon Tuitt who all had monster games.last_img read more

Ireland Under 20 Women fly to Israel ahead of this weekend’s FIBA U20 Women’s…

first_imgThe teams participating have been divided into two groups with five group games each ahead of classification games. Ireland will contest Group B and face Great Britain on Saturday (July 8th), Israel on Sunday (July 9th), and Belarus on Monday (July 10th) before a much-deserved rest day. They will go on to play Croatia and Romania later next week. Ireland Under 20 Women’s Management Team:Head Coach: Maeve ColemanAsst. Coach: Emer HowardTeam Manager: Ger O’Learyprint WhatsApp Facebook Twitter Email Monday, July 10thBelarus v Ireland, 18.30 “They are both tough groups, there is no easy group and there will be no easy games,” said Head Coach Maeve Coleman. “We saw that when we played the Slovak Republic last week, so we know we are in for a tough test. We face Great Britain first and we will be hoping that we can do well against them. We are going to take each game as it comes, we are not blinkered about the challenge that lies ahead.“The squad has been great. They have been working hard since we got together in December and have given all we asked of them and committed to all aspects of the programme. We couldn’t have asked for more. Now, we need to take our intensity and our skill level to the next level and incorporate it in our games. Our Israel game on Sunday will be a tough ask too, there is pressure on them being the home team and the gym will be packed. We will be massive underdogs, but that’s they way I like it to be. Either way, this will be an amazing expereince for the squad, and hopefully we can come out with the wins to give the girls justice for all the hard work they have put in.”Keep up to date with all the action from the championships through the official event website here where the games will also be streamed. DONEGAL CIVIL SERVANT SUSPENDED DURING ‘SECRETS FOR SALE’ SPY PROBE

first_imgA DONEGAL civil servant has been suspended after claims that he gave information to a private detective who then sold it to insurance companies across Ireland. The Government employee, who is believed to be based at the Department of Social Protection in Letterkenny, was caught when Gardai raided the home of the private detective.Donegaldaily.com has learned detectives found the confidential details of six people at the PI’s office during the raid. The details were then cross-referenced with Government employees who had accessed all six people’s records and a match was found.A full investigation into the details of the information passed on is currently being processed by DATA protection chiefs. The Data Protection Commissioner (DPC) is investigating suspicions the private investigator was using the information to send reports to a number of leading insurance companies. This is totally ILLEGAL. We understand that at least THREE insurance companies have been raided by officers from the DPC and a number of files have been removed. The DPC’s investigation came as a direct result of an internal probe in the Department of Social Protection.Managers at the Letterkenny Department discovered that a civil servant was accessing records of people he had no apparent business with. The department checked these to his phone logs, which showed he had contacted a number linked to the private investigator.Last night a source at the Department of Social Protection in Letterkenny said everyone was shocked by what has happened. “It’s the kind of thing you just don’t do. Information in Government departments is very sensitive and 99.9% of people understand that.“The rumour mill has been in overdrive about this guy for a couple of weeks now. As far as we now his desk has been cleared and he is suspended for the foreseeable future.“We’re not even sure if he’s going to come back after all that has happened,” said the source.A spokesperson for the Department of Social Protection in Letterkenny would not comment on the matter saying it would not now be appropriate to do so. Disneyland Preview — Week of November 11

first_imgA Christmas Fantasy Parade2211112 Share This!Big, festive week at Disneyland!  Runners descend upon the resort for what will be the last runDisney event out west for a while, and Christmas festivities are officially underway!  Read on to learn more in this week’s Disneyland preview.Special Events and NotesPhoto by Disney PhotoPass via (clockwise from left) @Niekon, @Snacob95, @RaisingLasVegas, @Nate_WDWLots of activity this week at Disneyland! First and foremost, expect a lot of guests at the resort for Super Heroes Half Marathon Weekend. The 10K is held on Saturday, and there will be a half marathon on Sunday morning to wrap up the event. The races add a wonderful energy to the resort, but they also bring a lot of people to the area, even if they aren’t hitting the attractions. Between the runners and the people there to support them, the area may feel more crowded than the crowd levels (which are based on attraction wait times) would suggest. Notably, this will be the last runDisney event at Disneyland for the foreseeable future; it was recently announced that there would not be any events in 2018 on account of the construction for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and other resort improvements. There have been holiday decorations percolating up into the resort since the day after Halloween, but the holiday season is now OFFICIALLY underway at Disneyland. The daytime parade has been replaced by A Christmas Fantasy Parade, Believe… In Holiday Magic takes over for the evening fireworks, and its a small world Holiday is now open for the season. Make sure you check out Rikki’s preview to learn more about what you can expect for the holidays.CrowdsCrowds will be notably higher this weekend for the Superhero Half Marathon event, with Saturday having the highest crowds of the week.  The remainder of the week is far more modest.Full details, including park-by-park crowd levels, are available on our Crowd Calendar.WeatherRemarkably pleasant and consistent weather all week long.  Highs in the mid-70s, lows in the mid-50s, and dry. Put another way, should be a gorgeous week in Southern California. As always, it’s wise to double check the weather as the day of your visit approaches. Check out the most up-to-date forecast here.ShowsReally light show schedule during the week, although both the Christmas parade and fireworks will run at least once each day. Weekend show schedules are much more full. Detailed show schedules, including smaller productions like Storytelling at Royal Theatre, can be found here. For those of you buying tickets as day guests, single-day tickets are at Regular cost ($110 adult/$104 child) Saturday & Sunday, Peak ($124/$118) on Friday, and Value ($97/$91) the remaining days of the week.Regular park hours (excluding Extra Magic Hours/Magic Mornings) are as follows this week: SatSunMonTuesWedThurFri Disneyland9-129-129-109-99-98-118-12 California Adventure9-119-119-89-89-88-88-11 As per usual, the parks will open one hour early for eligible guests at Disneyland Park Saturday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and at Disney’s California Adventure Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Candle Making at The Marketplace Co-Op

first_imgSince my daughter was doing this activity, she made all of the design decisions for her candle. First was the wick application. This entailed placing a piece of double-sided tape to the bottom of each wick and sticking it to the black dots handily pre-marked on the bottom of the container. Because my genius child has excellent coordination, she totally nailed this step. Yours will too! Then it’s time to choose a scent. Scents may vary, but currently you can select from freesia, cool water, peach, cinnamon, cedar wood, lemongrass, mango papaya, vanilla, Seas the Moment, raspberry vanilla, outdoor pine, Egyptian sandalwood, or honeysuckle. You’re allowed to choose one scent or a combination of two. The gentle cast member handed my daughter every single bottle of oil, allowed her to smell each one, and asked her thoughts on each. She also had her hold two bottles at once so she could smell combined scents. Gigi settled on a beautiful combination of peach oil and raspberry vanilla oil, which the cast member instructed her to pour into the small beaker. The cast member encouraged her to pour equal amounts of each oil slowly and smell the mixture along the way to ensure she was happy with the final scent.Wax color was her next big decision. There are 5 containers lined up down the center of the table with colored dye: green, brown, blue, and red. I won’t go into color combinations here, but rest assured mixing is encouraged. While Gigi settled mentally on a red candle, it wasn’t time to work with wax yet. The entire process took 48 minutes from my signature on the waiver to our final picture. We’re already making plans to go back with friends.Does this sound like a unique souvenir that you’d want to bring home? Let us know what your thoughts are in the comments. Share This!My six-year old daughter, Gigi, made a candle today at the Bowes Signature Soy Candle table inside the Marketplace Co-Op at Disney Springs. I can safely say we’ve found our new go-to personalized gift idea.Let’s go over the basics..What is This? This is a make-your-own candle experience. Guests can select color, scent, design, etc. and make a decorative, and functional, candle to take home.Who can participate? There is no specific minimum age (we asked), but bear in mind that there are heat elements, strongly scented oils, and lots of glass here. A child who can sit still and take supervision will be fine, but this is definitely a no-fidget zone.Location. The Bowes candle table is located just in front of the Cherry Tree Lane shop in the Disney Springs Marketplace. What’s at the table? The candle making activity can accommodate 8 candle artists at once. Each station includes a large beaker on a warming tray (they warned us about this heated element several times), an empty candle holder, two wicks, two pieces of double-sided tape, a warning sticker that goes on the bottom of your holder, and a small beaker.Waiver. Parents or guardians must sign a waiver for anyone under 18. Adults are required to sign a similar waiver for themselves, if they are participating.Payment. The cost is $25 per candle if you use the square, glass holder included. You may forego the provided container and purchase a Disney mug on site. Most mugs run between $12 – $18, in addition to the $25 basic rate. A cast member staffing the candle table will escort you to a nearby register for payment and you will be told where to sit at the long picnic table/candle laboratory. Then it was time for pouring the wax. Our cast member dispensed hot wax from a large vat into a smaller metal pot. She then poured some into the handled beaker on our table and placed it back on the warmer. Gigi was instructed to dip a dowel rod into the red dye and stir the hot wax, repeating until the desired color was reached. Our cast member showed her how to flick a bit of the wax against the beaker and place a paper towel behind it to see the color her candle would be when fully dried. After Gigi was satisfied with the deep pink color of her wax, the cast member instructed her to pour in the peach and raspberry vanilla oil and mix. Finally, the cast member secured the wicks in place and Gigi poured the wonderful smelling pink wax into the most precious candle holder in the universe.center_img Now we wait. We were told that we needed to leave our candle to dry for 30 – 40 minutes before it could be wrapped up and bagged. Candles can be left longer but should be picked up before the Co-Op closes for the day. If you cannot take the candle with you, I was told they could arrange for shipping. Glass decoration was up next. There are paint pens in several colors placed on the table. A “tester” candle holder is present on each side of the bench so pens can be tried out before using them on your art. This was another moment during this experience where I was conscious of not feeling rushed. Gigi worked slowly and the queen donut balloon she drew is some of her best work to date.last_img read more

Yahoo! Plans a Run at YouTube

first_imgOm Malik, writing for NewTeeVee late last night, was not sold on the idea of Yahoo! bolstering its video destination.” Look at YouTube‚Äôs history: it became popular because from the very beginning it didn‚Äôt try to be a destination, using viral distribution to get traction. Even today, people‚Äôs perception of YouTube is that it is not a destination. So far, video destination sites have not been a success.Look at it another way, Google tried to compete with YouTube with a strategy similar to Yahoo‚Äôs plan. It didn‚Äôt work, and they had to buy YouTube.”Om also wasn’t sold on the idea of adding video to Flickr. I’m not so sure that’s a good idea either. Flickr has been talking about adding video for almost 3 years now, but so far it hasn’t happened. My guess is the reason they haven’t pulled the trigger on video is that they aren’t sold internally on the idea. Flickr has a reputation as a high end photography site; one that attracts artistic photos more than vacation snapshots. That rep took a ding when Yahoo! began closing their Photos property a couple of months ago and encouraged users to migrate to Flickr (though killing off the overlap was something Yahoo! had to do, and I think they made the right choice to keep Flickr). Adding video might just tarnish Flickr further. That said, Yahoo! does own some pretty compelling video tools, namely Jumpcut. Jumpcut is a best of breed online video editor which could be integrated into a video offering letting people not only post and respond to video blogs, but also edit and remix them directly on the site. That’s something that YouTube is dabbling in with their Remixer app, but Jumpcut is currently a far superior offering. What do you think? Can Yahoo! make a legitimate run at YouTube or will their efforts be dead on arrival? Leave your thoughts below. According to comScore, Yahoo! is actually third in the US in terms of total video streams, though their 4.6% market share is well off the pace set by Google (mostly via YouTube), which soundly dominates the online video space, serving more than 4.5 times as many videos each month as Yahoo!.Ari Levy at Bloomberg reports that Yahoo! plans to beef up its video offering with more content from media partners as well as users. Yahoo! also plans to add video to its popular photo sharing property, Flickr. “One of our strategies is to put video everywhere you are on the Internet,” Yahoo!’s general manager for video, Mike Folgner, told Bloomberg. “We’re going to build a much better destination for you to access all this different content.”Yahoo! already has deals in place with some compelling content partners including the Universal Music Group, and the EMI Group, as well as the Associated Press, CNN, Major League Baseball and the National Football League. These sort of major content deals can certainly help bring in the eyeballs — epsecially if any of them are exclusive deals — but what made YouTube a success was really the user generated video. Clips from television shows (especially late-night US comedies like the Daily Show, South Park, or Saturday Night Live) certainly drove a fair amount of YouTube traffic, but it was the ability for the site to turn anyone into a star and give ordinary people an outlet to share ideas, opinions, rants and converse with one another that truly made the site a success in my opinion. 8 Best WordPress Hosting Solutions on the Marketlast_img read more
